Towa Gangu’s Nishiyama’s most beloved kaiju appears.

The Ultra Kaiju “Woo,” known as the creature Nishiyama of Towa Gangu is most attached to, appears as the third release in the “Sugoi Collaboration Series.”
Nishiyama has said this is “the character I most wanted to create.” It also shares elements with Towa Gangu’s original characters. The fur-like texture in the sculpt is one of Towa Gangu’s unique features, and it is clearly expressed in this piece.

Sculpt & Posing

The posing is designed based on Nishiyama’s idea of what makes a kaiju look like a kaiju. While many kaiju sofvi figures stand upright, this piece uses a unique stance with both hands extended forward.
This pose is shared with the first release, Hedorah, and is inspired by Showa-era kaiju bromides and the stance before a judo grapple. It is not only for display in a static position, but also expresses a sense of movement and presence as a living creature.

Expression & Color

The base color is a gray close to white. On top of this, light blue and silver paint are applied, creating a color scheme that recalls the snowy mountain scenes from the original work.
The expression is balanced between anger and sadness. It is designed to give a subtle and uncertain presence, like appearing softly from the snow, in a style that reflects Towa Gangu. Nishiyama also mentioned that he still has another color idea he would like to try in the future.
