Introducing the New Series: “New-Type Mecha Series”

New-Type Mecha Series is a new lineup featuring mecha and robot characters from a wide variety of licensed works, recreated as sofvi.
The first release is Pluto from Osamu Tezuka’s Astro Boy, appearing in the famous story “The Greatest Robot on Earth.” This is ENKA VINYL’s first sofvi based on an Osamu Tezuka work, produced in our standard size. Although Pluto is a well-known character, he has rarely been made into sofvi, making him a perfect addition to this new series.

Reimagined as Sofvi Based on the Original Manga

The sculpt is based on the original manga. While respecting the character’s original facial expression and details, it has been reimagined with a stylized form inspired by classic Showa-era sofvi.
A navy mold color was selected, with hand-painted details as the base. Layers of blue metallic spray paint create a finish with a rich metallic feel and added depth.
