First Sofvi Release

From the “Dynamic Complete Collection,” Garla from Garla is made into a sofvi for the first time in standard size. Garla is known as a short and unique work among Go Nagai’s titles, and it has a dedicated fan base.
In this release, Garla is added to the lineup following Big Daitan (pre-order from last month), both from the same work, and is brought into 3D form from ENKA VINYL’s perspective.

Sculpt

Garla is a rare kaiju-type character within Go Nagai’s works. Although it is a kaiju, it also has mammal-like features. This unique design is interpreted and shaped from ENKA VINYL’s perspective. The upward-pointing ears, along with different molds used for the chest, stomach, and back, create variations in texture across each part.
The large fangs are made as separate parts. While the sculpt takes a different direction from Toho or Tsuburaya works, the overall size is kept consistent so it matches well when displayed with other kaiju pieces.

Painting

The color scheme is based on the original manga cover, which is the only color reference, and is reinterpreted from ENKA VINYL’s perspective.
A muted purple base color is used, with navy and silver applied by spray. The teeth, fangs, and eyes are finished with mask painting, and red is added inside the mouth. The eyes are painted yellow to add an accent, creating a balanced overall color scheme.
